怎愛上跑步？許茂煌：怕見笑

65歲「鳳梨酥大王」許茂煌是個敦厚質樸的本土企業家，始終默默行善。他從跑步中得到更開闊的人生；他是怎麼愛上跑步的？許茂煌哈哈大笑說：「有兩件事，一個是『怕見笑』，一個是被計程車跟了1個多小時...」

在採訪之前，許茂煌正和兒子許金諺討論著今年8月底返回故鄉嘉義「做一些事情」。已經10個年頭了，他每年開學之前，都會回鄉資助單親、清寒的孩童，今年他預計幫12所學校、150位孩子繳學費。他也才剛帶著慰問金、鳳梨酥到新店災區去為正在復原家園的朋友、義工們打氣。

許茂煌憶起10年前，他由台北搭火車回嘉義看母親的一個深夜，他出嘉義火車站已經凌晨2點多，詢問計程車被喊價500元，他有點火了，乾脆走回家：「那計程車司機也真趣味，就在後面跟著我，一直叫我上車...」

場景來到4年前的廈門馬拉松。帶團參賽的許茂煌看到一些似乎比他更年長的跑者，他腦子突然蹦出一個念頭：「我都帶團來跑步了，自己若不跑會『金見笑』；我又想到10年前那一晚，我也可以走1個多小時的路回嘉義看阿母，那我也開始跑步好了。」許茂煌有的是鬥志，他看到獨臂的舞者、倒著跑的跑者，身旁又有許多愛跑的朋友，就更被激勵著養成跑步的習慣。他覺身子更清朗了，就在年初的廈門馬拉松跑了生涯距離最長的33公里。

他愛跑，享受被親友叫「瘋子」的趣味。「馬拉松真的會入迷啊！」許茂煌說出長跑在他生命中的重要地位。
